Wolseley took up a licence to make Merry Tillers in England in 1958, the original Major with a Briggs & Stratton engine was soon joined by the Professional with a Clinton Long Life 900 engine, among other changes. I have one and here it is....

.....and now I've got another one! I put an ad in our local stationary engine club newsletter for an engine, turns out this man had a complete machine to get rid of. A deal was done and I brought the machine home!
